Craig Gibson
Craig Gibson has been involved in sports administration, event and facility management for the last fifteen years with various organisations from University sport to a national sporting organisation. His key strengths are in sports administration, strategic planning and project management.
Prior to becoming a Director of SMA Tech, Craig has held the following positions in sport administration and facility management:
- General Manager - Coffs Harbour International Sports Stadium
- General Manager - Central Coast Soccer Association
- General Manager - 1997 Eastern University Games
- Manager - Sport - Charles Sturt University, Bathurst
- Event Manager - Bathurst Entertainment Centre
- High Performance Manager - Australian Handball Federation
- Manager - Australian Junior Men's water polo team
Craig has the ability to manage a project from the conception to completion and has vast experience in administration at the grass roots level. He successfully managed the Central Coast Soccer Association, which has well in excess of 12,000 members and 20 member clubs.
Craig has successfully managed the Crusty Demons tours for the last 3 years, securing venues, government support, media partnerships, sponsorships and operating the ticketing functions. Having worked with most major venues and cities across Australia and NZ, Craig has a very good understanding of what event will fit and work, taking into account the support from media, government, business sector and quality of venues.
Jarrod Frykberg
Jarrod Frykberg is the Director of SMA and ISTV
International Sports Television Marketing Pty Ltd (ISTVM) is the marketing arm of International Sports Television Pte Ltd (ISTV) a private company, with offices in Sydney and Singapore. The organisation specialises in sports television broadcast rights consultancy, management and implementation. It has led the negotiations in some of the world's biggest sports television deals outside the US, including ICC Cricket (US$550m), SANZAR Rugby (more than US$850m), English Premier League football international rights and Italian Serie A football. ISTV currently provides advice to sporting federations and broadcasters, including the IOC, News Corporation, SANZAR, Football Federation of Australia, SBS Australia, Setanta Sports, Sky Italia, Sky New Zealand, Zee Sports India and Foxtel.
ISTV was founded in 1996 by Ian Frykberg, formerly Director of Sport and Current Affairs for the Nine Network of Australia, Head of News and Sport for BSkyB, and CEO of CSI (now Octagon-CSI). Ian is based in Singapore.
Jarrod Frykberg has worked in the company from 1998 - 2001 and then from 2003 - current. Jarrod worked at Octagon CSI from 2001 - 2003 in both Sydney as General Manager of Television and London as Vice President of Television.
Kimberly Scott has been with ISTV since 1999. Kimberly has been Director of Publicity for the Ten Network Australia as well as Sydney Director of Programming for the Seven Network Australia.
Gary Walls started with ISTV in 2005 after 13 years at Zenith Media as a Senior Media Strategist. He managed multiple accounts, including the Australian Rugby Union, Colgate Palmolive, Australian Jockey Club, Allianz, United Airlines, Asics and the National Rugby League.
